I put out reviews this month! And didn’t put out other stuff I wanted to! Yay! Currently playing Ghostrunner 2 and Hardhat Wombat, not sure if I’ll fully review either yet, but they’re good.

So here I’m highlighting: 20 multiplats, 3 Switch games and 1 PC game. As far as anything I’m actually buying… There’s 2 I’m getting for sure, and, like, 1 or 2 maybes. No much there. Lots of interesting stuff that I just happen to not care about.

Last week both a new Sonic and a new Mario came out. While Mario Wonder was a pretty hyped game and looked good based on its trailers, Sonic Superstars had awful trailers and wasn’t getting too much hype. When it came out though, reviews were pretty positive. But I think you should always reduce your hype when it comes to Sonic, because his post-Genesis output has not been very good with only a few examples of games that were any good at all.

So today I’m releasing 2 reviews, one for Mario Wonder, one for Sonic Superstars. And I’m starting with the worse of the two.

Also kind of a mini-review, I don’t feel like going super in-depth with this one.

Anyways, yeah, October games. September had a few posts because… stuff happened. But still haven’t gotten really any reviews out. I’ve been playing stuff, but I don’t feel like I have much to say about them. Maybe I’ll make a post of micro-reviews or something, I dunno.

So here I’m highlighting: 18 multiplats, 4 Switch games and 1 PS5 game that will come out to PC later. There’s just 1 “for sure” game for me this time, a few maybes though. I actually skipped on including a bunch of stuff because it was so obviously shitty (like that awful VR Ghostbusters game).

So this was something I saw a bunch of trailers for and I thought it looked pretty cool. There was a demo that I didn’t play. It was getting pretty good comments. So I figured I’d check it out.

Well I didn’t notice any “leaks” for this one that aren’t entirely stupid… So my expectation is simply that this will be shit. Like every State of Play. These things are always awful. My expectations? Shitty games that won’t be exclusive to PS5, making this whole presentation pointless and stupid.

My general expectation for every State of Play is the same: even the best ones don’t have anything interesting, so no, matter how good this may end up being, it will still have been a shitty waste of time.

So yeah, let’s go I guess. Again, like the Nintendo Direct, this is a live reaction.

Oh hi. I haven’t posted anything in the last month, oops. Well, I guess I didn’t have much to post about. I’m playing Armored Core 6 right now, just bought Sea of Stars, still haven’t reviewed Siralim Ultimate… I’ve been playing lots of mahjong and stuff, so yeah, not lots of writing to do… But I at least want to make sure I continue doing something here, and this is easy.

September has some stuff. I’m gonna be highlighting: 16 multiplats, 2 Switch games, 2 PC games and a PS5 port. There’s a few big titles, and there’s a few I’m interested in too. Maybe I’ll try to review some of them, who knows.

Had a few things this month, nice. I actually have 2 more maybe-mini-reviews. Not much else to talk about here, I did get like 3 or 4 tornado warnings in my area in the last month which is nice.

So August… A bit of a quiet month but there’s some games here and there. I’m highlighting: 14 multiplats, 1 Switch game and 4 PC games. As far as what I’m getting from those… I don’t know, 2 big maybes, and like 6 other smaller maybes. Not too busy a month for me.

At one point, the PS5 had 2 games that were nowhere else, and that were basically the only real reasons to own a PS5, since a PS4 or PC got you basically everything it got. Well, this changed earlier this year when Returnal had a solid PC port, and that changed further last week when Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart also got a PC port. Now the PS5 only has… FFXVI, which will come out to PC later (it was announced for PC first) and Spider-Man 2 (coming later this year), which will come out to PC later (as evidenced by the previous games coming to PC later). So basically the PS5 has nothing.

I was pretty happy to see this get a PC port, because I didn’t want to get a PS5 just to play this one game. And I certainly have things to say about this game… So yeah let’s do that.

So this was a bit of a surprise announcement. The Atelier series is pretty popular nowadays but that wasn’t always the case. In fact the first 5 games in the series never made it outside of Japan (more if you want to count side games). Atelier Marie is the first game in the series and it took until now to finally get a western release.

So I grabbed it, to see where the series started. Let’s see if it’s good!

I’ve been playing this. I’m 19 hours into it, and I’m kinda feeling like not playing any more of it.
