Video Games coming out in April 2024

eve

Well March was a kinda disappointing month, not to spoil my march update post too much. I don’t really have much to say as an intro beyond… it’s important to continue noticing.

This month I’m highlighting: 10 multiplats, 1 Switch game, 1 PS5 game and 2 PC games. A bit of a quiet month but there’s actually some exciting stuff this month, unlike last month, with a few games I’m getting for sure.

I was gonna highlight Another Crab’s Treasure because it’s a game I thought looked fun, but the devs are assholes so that’s squarely on the “don’t buy it” list. They don’t like gamers so gamers shouldn’t give them money, very simple.

So let’s go!

Disclaimer: I only list games that I think are worth mentioning. This includes games I’m personally interested in, games that will likely be popular, highly advertised games, some more niche stuff I may notice, and such. This is not just games I care about myself, I highlight as much as I think makes sense. Of course, I can’t see the future, so I may be missing games and I may be listing games that may get delayed.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Well, like I said in the previous post, I will continue doing these release posts. I’ve been actually not playing much as far as new games, and couldn’t really review anything anyways. Like, I’m near the end of Octopath 2 but I kinda got tired of it. I’m playing like 2 levels of Pizza Tower ever other week pretty much… And that’s about it though I might buy 9 Years of Shadows. There’s something I am playing, but I will do a post about it soon because… why not!

For April 2023 I’m highlighting 15 multiplats and 1 Switch games. Not much of note here but a few interesting titles. I also decided to remove some highlights, trying to be more focused on actually interesting stuff. I’m

Games coming out in April 2022

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition

Well January, February and March were quite the decent first couple months for 2022. Things are certainly calming down now, evidenced by the fact that fucking nothing is coming out in April. Game industry giving gamers time to breathe, finally. Heck, unless announcements start happening soon there’s also nothing coming out in May. Hopefully game companies actually start announcing release dates for the rest of the year because things are getting a bit empty other than some of the stuff Nintendo announced at their recent Direct.

As for me, well I just reviewed 3 pretty solid games, and I have started Ghostwire Tokyo and Kirby, and Tiny Tina’s Probably Crappy Game is downloaded, so those are getting reviews soon. I actually don’t know if I’ll be buying anything that’s coming out in April, I think there’s 2 “maybe” games… but there’s a few other 2022 games I haven’t gotten to so it’s not like I ran out of stuff to play… thankfully. And I’ll have time to catch up on anime which is nice.

April 2022 has basically nothing to highlight, so I’m trying hard to get any content here. I’m highlighting: 3 multiplats, 5 Switch games, and one game journalist Sony fanboy fail. There’s one game of note pretty much. The rest is filler. This is also a “why is this a game that actually exists” kinda month, half these releases should probably not be a thing.

Let’s go!

Games coming out in April 2021

So March wasn’t quite as busy post-wise as I was expecting, but that’s largely because some of these games took me a while to go through. I’m in the process of writing 2 reviews right now, for Cathedral and Bravely Default 2.

And I have some other stuff planned. I’m getting started on Monster Hunter Rise which is my first full-on try at an MH game (so the review will be from the perspective of a newb), I have some other games that recently came out I want to get (Kaze and the Wild Masks, Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection, a Record of Lodoss War metroidvania (might have to watch the anime too, I missed that one back in the day)… maybe some other stuff), there’s some older games I started playing (such as BPM and Remnant and Creature in the Well), there’s new games I want coming out in April… and I want to make every console fanboy mad so I am planning a series of posts about last-gen. Specifically the main post will be about the great games that came out in the generation, and I’m hoping to do 3 side-posts about why all the consoles sucked (the PS4 one is particularly spicy because people think that’s a good console for some reason).

So ANYWAYS, I need to stop talking about the blog for a second and actually to get to the real meat and potatoes of the post. April is in a few days and I need to do the monthly list of games coming out.

We’ve got: *12* multiplats, 2 Switch games, 1 PS5 game (whoa!) and a PC game. There’s several in there that I’m getting, just in case my current game list wasn’t big enough already.

*EDIT 03/29: ADDED A MULTIPLAT THAT LOOKS REALLY COOL*
