Oh yeah I wanted to write about this game because it’s one of the big boys this year. So I finished it weeks ago… and I forgot to write about it. I am also writing a quick thing about Switch 2, but figured I should Doom it up first.

So Doom 2016 was fantastic. Doom Eternal gets a bit of hate but it is objectively way better than 2016 in every way. They changed the gameplay around a bit to make it about resource micromanagement while getting into a fast-paced flow-state of murder, making it a lot more interesting than 2016. I actually watched very little footage for Dark Ages because this was an obvious second 1 buy, but what I saw looked great. So I bought it and played it the second it came out (probably a bit early because you should always preorder PC games because they’re basically always discounted).

Let’s go, this will be really quick.

Well I got 20 minutes left before 2025 so… gotta get hyped for games coming out in 2025! … Hopefully 2025 delivers a bit better than 2024 did because oof.

I’m just gonna do the usual, just talk about my top-most-hyped-for-now games, and then big lists of games I have some level of interest in (or have the potential of being good), and a smaller list of games that are big releases that I don’t think are interesting (and have no potential of being good).
